Union Minister Shri. AnanthKumar promises CIPET for Hubballi

Speaking at KCCI’s (Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry) 89th Foundation, Shri AnanthKumar, Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister said that the government will set up CIPET (Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology) in Huballi soon.

He also informed that the Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing Federation is ready to give 42 acres of land, which is located at Tarihal, outskirts of the city. The foundation stone for the CIPET will be laid immediately after the land is given.

CIPET is a premier national institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted to Skill Development, Technology Support Services, Academic and Research (STAR).

Headquartered in Chennai, CIPET operates on hub & spokes model at 32 locations – 5 High Learning Centres, 14 Other Learning Centres, 3 Specialized Centres, 3 R & D Wings, 6 Vocational Training Centre, 1 Petrochemical Data Services spread across the country catering to the needs of Polymer and allied industries.
