TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Plastic Positive Blog Competition ("Competition"), an awareness initiative of Plastivision organised by the All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association ("AIPMA"). By registering or submitting an entry, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy.

1. About the Competition

The Competition invites eligible college and university students across India to submit a 500-word blog on one of four Plastic Positive themes: Anti-Littering, Waste Segregation, Rag-Picker Awareness, or Positive Plastic Image. Participation is free. The submission deadline is 15 December 2026. Results and recognition are associated with Plastivision India 2027, scheduled for 21–25 January 2027 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

2. Eligibility
  • Open to students currently enrolled in a recognised college or university in India.
  • Participants must have a valid student ID and provide accurate eligibility information.
  • One entry per participant and one selected theme per entry.
  • AIPMA/Plastivision may verify eligibility and reject entries that do not satisfy the requirements.
3. Registration Information

Participants must provide accurate information requested in the registration form, including name, contact details, date of birth, location, college/university, course/year, student ID and other required information. Information must correspond to the participant and should be capable of verification.

4. Submission Requirements
  • The blog must be approximately 500 words and submitted in the participant's own prospective.
  • An entry may be pasted into the form or uploaded as PDF, DOC or DOCX within the stated file-size limit.
  • The blog must be the participant's own original, unpublished work.
  • Plagiarised, copied, AI-generated where prohibited by the competition's stated rules, defamatory, unlawful, obscene, discriminatory or infringing material may be rejected.
  • Participants must not submit confidential information or personal information belonging to another person without appropriate permission.
  • Entries must be received before the published deadline.
5. Originality and Intellectual Property

Participants retain ownership of their original blog, subject to the licence granted below. By submitting an entry, the participant represents that the blog is original, does not knowingly infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights, and has not been unlawfully copied or submitted on behalf of another person.

6. Licence to AIPMA / Plastivision

By entering the Competition, the participant grants AIPMA/Plastivision a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to reproduce, publish, display, communicate to the public, distribute, archive, edit for formatting or length without changing the substantive meaning, and otherwise feature the submitted blog, together with the participant's name and competition attribution, for the Plastic Positive campaign, Plastivision India 2027, educational/awareness communications, websites, social media, publications, presentations and promotional materials. This licence does not transfer ownership of the underlying copyright to AIPMA/Plastivision.

7. Publicity and Recognition

Participants acknowledge that selected or eligible entries may be featured through official Plastivision/AIPMA channels. Participants may receive participation certificates, recognition, Youth Ambassador opportunities, felicitation and/or prizes as announced by the organisers. The nature, number, value and availability of prizes or opportunities may be subject to final organiser announcements and applicable rules.

8. Judging

Entries may be evaluated by a panel selected by AIPMA/Plastivision. Judging may consider relevance to the selected topic, originality, clarity, persuasiveness and adherence to the Competition guidelines. The organisers may use reasonable verification processes to identify plagiarism, duplicate submissions or other rule violations.

9. Organiser's Rights
  • AIPMA/Plastivision may reject, disqualify or remove an entry if it breaches these Terms, contains inaccurate information, is ineligible, is submitted after the deadline, infringes rights, or otherwise compromises the integrity of the Competition.
  • The organisers may verify student status and contact participants for clarification.
  • The organisers may amend operational details, judging arrangements, recognition details or timelines where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
  • The organisers may cancel, suspend or modify the Competition where circumstances beyond their reasonable control make continuation impracticable.
10. No Entry Fee

There is no entry fee. Participants are responsible for their own internet access, device, travel and other costs unless AIPMA/Plastivision expressly states otherwise.

11. Communications

Participants may receive email, SMS, phone or other communications relating to registration, verification, submission status, competition updates, judging, results, certificates, felicitation and related activities. Separate consent may be requested for promotional communications where required by law.

12. Website Use

The landing page and related websites may not be used to interfere with the Competition, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent information, attempt unauthorised access, or otherwise misuse the platform or its content.

13. Intellectual Property in the Website and Campaign

Except for participant-submitted content and third-party materials, the website, campaign branding, logos, graphics, text, designs, layouts and other materials are owned by or licensed to AIPMA/Plastivision and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

14. Disclaimer

The Competition and website are provided for educational, awareness and engagement purposes. AIPMA/Plastivision does not warrant that the website will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted, or that all information will remain unchanged. Competition information may be updated from time to time.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AIPMA/Plastivision and its officers, employees, volunteers, judges, service providers and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from participation in the Competition or use of the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AIPMA/Plastivision and its authorised representatives from claims, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from the participant's breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, fraud, or unlawful content submitted by the participant.

17. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Competition Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of the overall Competition terms and should be read before submitting an entry.

18. Force Majeure

AIPMA/Plastivision will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, technical failures, cyber incidents, public emergencies, industrial disruptions, venue changes or other events that materially affect the Competition.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts having jurisdiction in Mumbai, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to the Competition or these Terms.

20. Changes to the Terms

AIPMA/Plastivision may update these Terms when reasonably necessary. The current version will be made available on the Competition website. Continued participation after an update may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms where legally permissible.
