This Privacy Policy explains how the All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA), organiser of Plastivision India 2027 and the Plastic Positive Blog Competition ("AIPMA", "Plastivision", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal information submitted through the Plastic Positive Blog Competition landing page and related services.

1. Scope

  • Verification material: uploaded college ID card in JPG, PNG or PDF format.
  • Competition information: chosen topic, blog title, blog text or uploaded blog file, and how you heard about the competition.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, dates/times, approximate usage information, cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications and records: correspondence, support requests, confirmations and consent/withdrawal records.
3. Why We Use Your Information
  • To register and administer your participation in the competition.
  • To verify that participants are currently enrolled students and meet eligibility requirements.
  • To receive, store, review and judge submissions.
  • To communicate submission confirmations, competition updates, results, certificates, felicitation and related information.
  • To issue participation certificates and administer prizes, recognition or Youth Ambassador activities.
  • To publish or feature selected blogs, names and other permitted attribution as described in the competition Terms & Conditions.
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud, misuse or duplicate/ineligible submissions, and protect the website and competition.
  • To improve the landing page, competition experience and communications.
  • To comply with applicable law, legal process, regulatory requirements and legitimate organisational obligations.
4. Consent and Voluntary Communications

Where processing is based on consent, we will seek consent in a clear manner and maintain appropriate records. The competition form currently asks participants to confirm originality, agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, and consent to receive competition updates. Where applicable, consent to promotional or non-essential communications may be withdrawn without affecting participation in the competition, subject to lawful processing that does not depend on consent.

5. Blog Publication and Publicity

By submitting an entry, participants grant the permissions described in the competition Terms & Conditions for AIPMA/Plastivision to feature the blog as part of the Plastic Positive campaign. If a blog is selected for publication, the participant's name and other attribution information may be displayed with the submission. Participants should not include sensitive personal information or personal information about another person in their blog.

6. Student ID Verification

A college ID is requested solely to confirm current student status and eligibility. Access should be restricted to personnel or service providers who need it for verification. AIPMA/Plastivision will retain verification material only for as long as reasonably necessary for eligibility, audit, dispute resolution, security and legal obligations, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised where practicable.

7. Cookies and Analytics

The website may use cookies, pixels, logs, analytics and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand usage and improve performance. Third-party analytics, hosting, security, email or technology providers may process technical or personal information on our behalf.

Subject to applicable law and the stage of implementation of relevant provisions, individuals may have rights relating to access to information about processing, correction or updating, withdrawal of consent, grievance/complaint mechanisms and deletion/erasure where applicable. The competition is intended for students currently enrolled in recognised colleges or universities in India. The landing page states that participation requires a valid student ID.
